Amazing how everyone is now suddenly trying to remember what we supposedly learned in history and government classes in high school. Thanks for this link. I fear that for Dodgy Donald, Executive Orders will be like Lay’s Potato Chips: “bet you can’t eat [issue] just one.”

The use of executive orders does not bypass checks and balances. If the executive order is illegal that’s when the checks and balances kick in to block the order temporarily and eventually even permanently.

The only way for the president to bypass checks and balances is if he did not abide by the court orders to stop. That’s when people could potentially go to jail for helping the president break a court order. But no one has done it as of today.
