I spent this past Saturday at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City, NY. Â It was an experience I won’t soon forget and had a greater impact on me than I had anticipated. Â After reviewing all the picture that I took, I selected a few that expressed the most emotion as I walked through the quiet and somber museum.
One last thought, and this is a quote on one of the largest walls. Â Speaks for itself.
Great photos. I visited this museum in the spring of 2015. I remember feeling emotional as I walked through. I just love new york and heading there this weekend for a short getaway. Don’t mind visiting the city again and again. 🙂
This is totally impressive and somewhat mind blowing. Thank you for sharing this with the world. Yes, this is something that shall never be erased from memory. I had to look this post over more than once because of the depth and breadth of what it says and what it represents. A masterful job of blogging.
Appreciate the comments. I spent more than three hours at the Memorial and Museum. Pictures just don’t convey the shear size and impact of the displays. One room had a picture of every person that lost their lives that day where, for good reason, you were not permitted to take any pictures. Seeing it in pictures had the greatest impact for me than anything else.
like nana cathy I was last there when it was just a big hole so thank you for sharing this. I’m not sure that I could bear to go back it is a feeling I will never forget
I don’t think I could have seen it as a hole, would have been too much for me. I’m glad I had an opportunity to see it with a local fire station group trip.
