Weekend “Would You Rather?” 28

After playing an interesting round of “Would You Rather?” with the family, I thought it would be fun to get into the game of a weekly blog post.  Feel free to join in on your own blog and be sure to give an answer to the question of the week.

**I will keep these questions rated G**

Would you rather have one year off at your current rate of pay

Work your current job for a year at double your current pay with no time off?

Be sure to leave your answer (and justification) in the comments!

I would rather have one year off at my current rate of pay.  The reason is that I make a good living and have a lot of interests that I never have enough time for.  Consistently putting them aside to work doesn’t give me the work/life balance I wish I had.  A full year to explore things without having to worry about paying bills could give me the opportunity to flush out one of those interests into a new career.

  1. Yeah.. that second choice. I still have a little Republican streak in me to that appreciates money over anything else.

  2. Easily take the year off.. I’ve struggled with postpartum depression and I spend much of 40 hours of the week wishing I was home with these two butter ball turkey burgers (Also known as my children).

  3. I would rather work my current job for a year at double my current pay with no time off because I am retired and so the job would be easy, and if I got double my current pay that means my monthly payout from my portfolios would double and who could argue with that since I already have most anything a man could ever desire as it is. A very juicy prospect. I love playing this game!
