I would be the wave. The wave is the force of change that keeps everything moving forward into the future. The wave ensures that nothing last forever and falls to the ravages of time.

The wave. The sand castle, although beautiful, is fragile and vulnerable to the smallest of destructive forces….like wind, feet and birds.

Hmm.. if I am the sand castle then I am rigid.. inflexible.. strong.. a deterrence to any threat and protector of all. If I am a wave, then I would be showing the insignificance of everything else against my power; an agent for constant change and renewal. I am reminded of a quote oft used by the U.S Geological Service… paraphrased from Matthew 7:7 … “Tis a foolish man who built his house upon the sand.”
So.. after all that embellishment.. my answer would be… the castle. I represent man.. determined to exist within the elements, adapting to constant change in order to survive, and all the while standing up to the forces of nature while at the same time satisfying a curiosity of the unknown, In other words, my FIRST castle might be of sand.
