Weekend “Would You Rather?” 20

After playing an interesting round of “Would You Rather?” with the family, I thought it would be fun to get into the game of a weekly blog post.  Feel free to join in on your own blog and be sure to give an answer to the question of the week.

**I will keep these questions rated G**

good-would-you-rather-questions

Would you rather have to leave the country you now live in and be unable to return

OR

Spend the rest of your life being unable to make more than minimum wage?

Be sure to leave your answer (and justification) in the comments!

I'm a middle aged technology geek with a life long passion for computers, technology, politics, science and all the bits in the middle between 0 and 1. I used to be a liberal but have mellowed in my advanced years to be more of a moderate conservative with a side of progressive for variety. What that means? Well, that means I carefully weigh all points, listen to what people are saying, then make an informed opinion that makes sense to the largest number of people without being fundamentally unfair. I run a personal blog, help manage and write for a community blog, and manage many other sites for various local businesses. I'm not perfect and failure is always an option, it's how we all learn.

  1. Given option 1 is more a conditional choice and option 2 is more a situational choice… and a situation can be changed by choice.. I will go with option 2.
Boy, that sounded scientific and analytical. Trust me.. I selected option 2 cause I wanna stay where the junk food is.

  2. Tough one…..I love my country but if it meant a better life for my family then I would have to move…there is nothing more important than family at least to me and any way I can improve their lot i life then I must take it. chuq

  3. I don’t know. Can that be my answer? What’s in this new country? And what am I leaving behind in this country to go there? Also, is minimum wage here such a bad thing in this hypothetical? Maybe it’s more than enough to get by. I’ll need some more details before I commit to an answer. 😉

    1. That defeats the purpose of playing. Asking questions to determine which is the best answer takes the fun out of putting faith behind a decision and facing the fear of the unknown.
